Wasp & Hornet Control in Torbay, Teignbridge, South Hams & Exeter - ProAction Pest Control
We GUARANTEE Our Wasp and Hornet Treatments*
We always strive to provide peace of mind to our customers, and we are proud to offer a ZERO RETREATMENT FEE if the nest has not been eradicated.
We always aim for 100% successful eradication the first time, but occasionally (about 1% of cases) a treated nest doesn’t respond as expected — due to a newly emerged entry point, unpredictable weather, or other unforeseen factors. Either way, we make it our problem, not yours, and will return as soon as possible to re-treat the nest at no extra charge until it is fully eradicated.

We understand all too well the impact of rapidly rising costs today, which is why, wherever possible, we aim to pass savings back to our customers.
Did you know treatment is usually done from outside where the wasps or hornets enter the nest? If the nest or hole where wasps or hornets are coming and going is in a location that doesn’t require you to be present to provide access — and you’re happy for us to treat it without you on site — we can carry out the service for 10% less than our standard price. (and the same guarantee still applies!).
This approach lets us plan our technicians’ routes more efficiently, reduces emissions and fuel costs, and, most importantly, means you don’t have to wait at home for an appointment, all the while still saving money. We see this as a win win all round!
All work performed by ProAction comes with a fully digital online PDF form sent via email or a link via text, which details what work we have carried out, including pictures where necessary. (If preferred, we can leave a handwritten work report in your letterbox instead of a digital one)
HOW IT WORKS:
You provide us with your full address, name, email and phone number
You provide us a description of where the nest is located (Pictures are preferred)
Full payment is required prior to booking (10% discount already included)
We will message you the day before we plan to be there, so you’ll know what day to leave a gate open, or other access
Once completed, a work report will be sent to your email address or mobile number
We usually respond ASAP and aim to visit within 3 working days. For this service, allow up to 5 working days for completion. No refunds unless ProAction Pest Control does not visit your property within 5 working days of received payment.
Wasp and hornet nests often appear in spring and grow rapidly throughout summer. Common locations include lofts, roof spaces, sheds, wall cavities, trees, and even underground.
Typical signs include:
• Frequent wasp or hornet activity around the same entry point
• Buzzing or scraping sounds from inside walls, soffits, or lofts
• A visible nest made of papery material
• Increased aggression or clustering of insects around the nest area
If left untreated, nests can house thousands of wasps by late summer, making removal far more hazardous.

Our Wasp & Hornet Treatment Process
At ProAction Pest Control, we pride ourselves on combining professionalism with innovative solutions.
Inspection & Identification
We locate and assess the nest to determine species, activity level, and the safest treatment approach.
Advanced Long-Reach Treatment System
Our custom-designed telescopic treatment pole allows us to treat high-up or hard-to-reach nests safely from the ground — up to several metres in height. This system also enables:
• Loft treatments from a safe distance (no need to fully enter confined spaces)
• External treatments when customers are not at home
• Reduced ladder use, improving safety and efficiency
This makes our wasp and hornet service faster, safer, and more flexible than traditional methods.
Targeted Treatment
We apply professional-grade insecticidal dust or spray directly to the nest entrance. Most nests are fully neutralised within 24–48 hours.
Nest Removal (Optional)
Once the nest is inactive, we can remove it safely if accessible — often during a follow-up or at the customer’s request.
Prevention & Aftercare
We’ll advise on sealing entry points, removing old nests, and minimising future infestations in your property or premises.

Seasonal Advice
Wasp and hornet activity begins in early spring and peaks through summer into late autumn. Booking early inspections or treatments can help prevent nests from expanding and becoming more aggressive later in the year.
